What is the best method to check if the interviewee sitting in front of me is indeed fast learner, as he claims. asking about examples from his past is one thing. What else?

I would like to work in a group ... because working in a group we come to know what mistakes we are doing towards work and we would surely learn lots .... come across different views... lots of compentation which matters a lot and there is good growth in work and quality

In Testing We can get chance to work on different environments like Java, .NET, ERP etc.
