Stress Intensity and VON misses stress

in Ansys software we have options for stress intensity solution and von misses analysis rather than tresca. i want to inquire the difference between stress intensity analysis and von misses analysis?

According theory of failures von misses stress theory will give you a safe and economic design (Sys/Syt =0.57)
