If the data collector goes down.....then that zone member servers are not able to access by the user ... means those are temporary unavailable... to avoid this things .... when ever the data collector...

Citrix will take only one license since license is based on concurrent session.

License taken by the terminal service depends. If the License is Per User based it will take one, If license is per device based it will take two license.

if citrix license server goes down , citrix application will work until 720 hours of basic grace period of the citrix license
server . to know that grace period edit the license file in notepad and type GP= then you will get the grace period of the license......

For Citrix 4.5 and 5.0 license grace period is 30days and 6.0 grace period is 90days. if license server down , only users who already have license they do not have problem but new users are cant able to get license.

Also do check the ICA TCP Properties - Network Adapter to hold maximum concurrent sessions as selection and Qfarm /load to show output of less than 10000. License server should be up and communicating. RDP CAL should have free licenses.

I would ask if it sticks at a particular point, i.e applying computer settings, running login scripts etc. The logging on  process for citrix is complex and it may point you in the right direction.

ICA- Independent Computing Architecture (Citrix Protocol) 1494
RDP- Remort Desktop Protocol (Microsoft protocol) 3389

RDP supprots only desktop or server console.
ICA supprots published applicaion, Desktop, Content, and it will work under 10kb- 20kb

If LHC got corrupted then none of the new user will be able to access the application and also the ima service will failed to start so recreating of Lhc USINF dSMAINT COMMAND CAN RESOLVE THE ISSUE .

- You can not access application from that server.
- IMA will not start
- recreating LHC will fix the issue.
