Usually agile is done for small projects when there are chances of changing of requirements and RUP is used for long and big projects.
In agile there is constant communication with the client and not too much of deliverables are there compared to RUP.

Business Analysts in any domain must have good communication/ inter personal skills and must have extensive domain knowledge. BA must have through understanding of the business process with in that domain.
