1) Shared printer is suitable for small environment Network printer used for large network.

2) Shared printer connected with system and system need to be power on every time, network printer not need to be shutdown and printer did not connect to the system it will be connected to switch.

3) Network printer have more security.

4) Network printer have IP address. Shard printer working only same platform.

Network printer has LAN card so we can assign IP address for that and we can give print from any machine in the Network
Shared Printer is a local printer if we want to give a print to that printer we need to install printer drivers from shared drive

Network Printer:
Instead of installing printer drivers in each and every machine physically, simply we can access print server in that simply we can double click on the printer, which one we need use.

Shared Printer:
In this printer is physically connected to the computer, if your team member want to use your printer.

for that you need to share that printer for that particular user, or you can share with every one if you want.
but that printer, which is connected to the computer physically... always should be power on.

otherwise you cant use that shared printer.

Network printer: Network printer has its own IP address. it is connected to local area network through switch.

Shared printer: When printer is installed in one system, it is in network when we share that printer to another system which is in same network is called shared printer
