How SCJP exams are Helpful???

I am new to java...if I passed out the SCJP exams then how it would be beneficial at time of job..interviews???

Preparing for SCJP helps you to become familiar with the basic concepts and their application in java and also the java syntax. It will be a certificate that will tell your prospective employers that you know how to write code in Java and need not be trained. But always remember that the inner workings, good practices and quality coding can only be understood by having hands on experience in projects.
