When we talk of testing, its a never ending process, so based on the budget available, the give time frame, available resources we decide what to test and what not to test . The features we decide to test is considered in scope and the features not to test are considered out of scope.

in the testing process what we test this type of plans comes under in-scope in the process what was not tested in the application is comes under out of scope
