What are all the benefits & bottlenecks of using loadrunner than silk performer.

Depends on what your testing (*for example:Loadrunner is a better choice for Siebel Apps) and your knowledge of the tools to really determine the true benefit they both handle the basic applications well.

Actually, loadrunner is a bit expensive compared to silkperformer. As per my reading and experience, Silkperformer has the following bottlenecks compared to a loadrunner:
1) In Silkperformer, we cannot change the number of Vusers once a test is initiated.
2) Silkperformer might not work well for higher number of Vusers.
