hi shiva,   Banking domain is nothing but software division in a bank. most of the banks are computerised now, the required s/w which is used will be under maintainance and very little enhancements. Guys who work on this s/w can say that they are in banking domain. -kr1shna

Domain is the body of knowledge that a person possesses about something.  It is a shortened version of the phrase "Domain Knowledge".  Banking domain simply refers to knowledge of the banking industry.
