what is a template

It is just nothing but .fmb with pre defined objects like button,text item ,date field ,disply item and canvas and every thing what u what u required at the time of form design,this objects are desined so that  to meet apps standards rathar than normal.

 It is the way to pass parameter to oracle apps environment

Template is an predefined and flexible object to design a apps form....it will consists of related libraries and procidures which can able to feasible to run in oracle applications...and Token is a Gateway in between Reports and Oracle Apps Concurrent program to run a report on Apps Respectively with a Parameter..and the Token's parameter value is the Case sensitive

1. Template.Fmb is a standard fmb file which  is available inthe product directory structure. When ever you want to develope a new form the you should start from  template.fmb

2. Token is the actual parameter name given in the report. It means that what ever you give the parameter name in the report you should give the same name in the token.
Ex.your parameter name in the report is pdeptno and you should give the same name in the token as pdeptno

Template.fmb is a predefined standard form ,which is having 21 libraries to support
oracle application structure

Token is a field in the parameter window  of a concurrent program which is used to map concurrent program parameter with the report builder  bindvariable.

Template is predefine , future purpose like expenses template,or quick codes ,
Token is unique no every user entering orcle gateway  used owen token same thing any problam or issuse share probalm in taken vice so any error  or mistaske in application level eassily find out admin some thing token provide promation ,increments very useful ,
token unquily identify by the user
