Can someone help me with these following interview questions with real time work experiences??

1)Could you tell me two things you did in your previous assignment (QA/Testing related hopefully) that you are proud of?
2) What problems did you face in the past? How did you solve it?
3) Give me an example of something you tried at work but did not work out so you had to go at things another way.
4)How many testers are required in a typical project?

1) In my last project I worked for Insurance Based it an web based application testing developed in JAVA.

Couple of requirements were added during the project while the time constraint remain unchanged. These requirements were released after couple of build releases which had impacted other functionalities and design specification as well.

Build release was for every 4 weeks. These requirements were discussed in meetings with the QA Manager and Business Analyst. (Designer team is responsible for how to look and feel of the application .

I was responsible for writing approximately 200 test cases (roughly I would say Test case depends on the application and requirements) for couple of requirements on the test scenario and created sample test data and execute them by performing both positive and negative testing by inserting sample test data before releasing build into pre - production.

Performed regression testing to make sure these changes not affect other functionalities. So "time" was the major constraint and we worked extra hours and could finally deliver the project in time proving me as deadline driven.

3) I had a problem with lack of experience & knowledge of my subordinates. So, I decided that it will be great to have a kind of internal mentoring: all topics included self-study of theory by the list of specified points and project related practical tasks. But nobody completed single topic! It happend to be too difficult, distasteful and boring for adults considering themselves as professional engineers.
So, finally I had to drop this idea and just push them to complete companys refresher course. Still one of my biggest fails in a team lead role.
