Blue Screen of Death (BSD) comes by many reason but most common reason is by some problem in RAM. try these option.

1. pull out the RAM and rub it by rubber on the chip side. and insert it again.
2. if still you are facing this try that ram to other system
3. every BSD have unique code like 0x000000a7, try that code on google and you will find your answer

It can be caused by both reasons unwanted software installation. High CPU usage and Faulty Ram. That's why this error describes the statement regarding hardware and software. Pulling and ram and inserting it again in the slot is a good option. Apart from that defragment your PC, Update driver and Windows, remove unwanted software's from your system like trial software's.

As above mentioned, this problem can be caused by couple of reasons.

I will reboot my machine 3 times. If the problem continues, the 4th time, I will press f2 to enter the setup which will automatically make my machine go through a process called bios. The bios process will read all my hardware and take me to a configuration setup, then I will go on the boot tab or press F12/F8(depending on the computer) and start windows normally. IF THIS DOESNT SOLVE THE ISSUE, then I will reboot my machine, press F12 and enter the safe mode. Once I enter the safe mode, I will type "msconfig" and click on the "startup" then I will click "DISSABLE ALL >Ok>APPLY>RESTART.

IF SAFE MODE DOESN'T WORK:
I will insert the system recovery CD and press F8 or F12. Then I will press "R" for repair, and restore the system.

IF SYSTEM REPAIR DOESNT WORK:
Reinstall

LAST STEP, IF NOTHING WORKS:
Create a ticket for the client and transfer to tier 2.

In most cases blue screen is there for few seconds and system keeps rebooting. First of all you need to get to the error message. A very good feature of win xp is to press F8 on startup and select do not restart system of boot failure (like we choose safe mode) this option is only there when system is experiencing blue screen problems read the code and troubleshoot it accordingly.

Blue Screen Error is mainly due to hardware incompatibility or any software file incompatibility with the system. If this incompatibility can effect the system hardware or software, then the system dumps the present condition and gives a blue screen error. If the hardware or software problem is not solved then it comes again and again.

Example - If your DVD writer is not working properly, or even not detectable by the system and can harm the functionality of the system. Then when you try to use it, it will give you a blue screen or your system will directly be off.
