Windows XP has a simple look and not that much secured as compared to Windows 7
1. XP does not have gadgets like clock but win 7 has

Best difference is win7 is more secure than win xp.
The major difference between win xp and windows 7 is graphics and than it is more secure than winxp and it has inbuilt utility like bitdiffender to encrypt the data on drive which is only accessible if you know its password if drive locked through its utility and also the security patches the upgraded in windows 7 and also internet speed is also good .

1.Windows Xp comes with default mail client(outlook express) where as windows 7 doesn't come with any default mail client.
2. Windows XP supports on ip-version4 addressing where as Windows 7 supports both ip-v4 and ip-v6.
3.there is only one version of windows xp. in Windows 7 there are two version 32-bit and 64-bit.
4.in Windows XP there is no drive encryption but in Windows 7 there is drive encryption for 32-bit pointsec and for 64-bit BitLocker encryption
5.In Windows xp users personal files and folders location is c://Documents and settings where as in Windows 7 it is c://Users
6. Windows XP don't have touch support where as Windows 7 has touch support.

1. In XP, many device drivers are not automatically detected but in Win7 maximum number of device driver detected
2. In XP, Ipv6 is not supported but Win7 supports both ipv4 & ipv6
3. In XP, bit locker not available but Win7 bit locker is available
4. In XP, advance safe mode not available but Win7 it is availabe
5. In XP, Net is meeting available but Win7, net meeting is not available
6. In XP, Outlook Express is available but in Win7 it is not available

1. The major difference between Windows XP & Windows 7 is sharing security. in Windows XP while sharing a file or folder there is no security option, but in Windows 7 security option is there we can restrict unwanted users to access the file or folder.
2. In Windows XP there is an inbuilt in email client called outlook express, but in Windows 7 Microsoft removed that build in email client, you need to install separate clients like Microsoft outlook or Thunderbird.. etc
3. Windows XP doesn't support touch interface.. Windows 7 is the 1st operating system who introduced touch user interface in Microsoft platforms.
