The software application which provided software services beyond the services provided by the operating system is known as middleware.Middleware makes it easier for software developers to perform communication and input/output, so they can focus on the specific purpose of their application.

A web server is an application that helps computer to perform exchange of data with other servers and clients where the client request for the information and the server contains the stored information.It supports site hosting, authentication and performance testing.
