Agile Approaches

One feature that characterizes all of the agile approaches that have arisen in recent years is the requirement that software features be developed in small incremental cycles of two to six weeks in duration. Explain the positive and negative effects that this requirement produces with respect to the willingness of management to permit the adoption of agile processes.

Positives: A customer demo can be given at the end of a sprint , hence if there is anything that the customer does not like , that can be captured , instead of propagating that throughout the delivery cycle as in case of waterfall.


Negative: Each sprint is a small delivery , so the overheads of deliverables are for every sprint .
