Job Analysis refers to the process of determining and reporting pertinant information relating to the nature of a specific job. it is the determination of tasks which comprise the job and the skills, knowledge, abilities and responsibilities required of the worker of  a successful performance and which differentiates one job from the other.

whereas Job decsription is an organized factual statement of the duties and responsibilities of a specific job.

A process of collecting information about job is called Job Analysis (JA). JA results in 2 sets of data

1.
Job Description (JD) and
2. Job Specification (JS).


Both JD and JS are immediate products of JA.
JD includes title of position, report 2 whom, responsibilities, term of payment, physical n work requirement, where as JS includes skills, education, emotional character, sensory demand.
