Equivalence Class Partioning is a technique to conduct Black Box testing .

Use of equivalence partitioning  technique is that to reduce the number of test cases and assure that full functionality has been covered.

In this techniques we have to Identify a class which will have a number of partition and we will set the expected result of each partition.. Now the focus should be that for each partition you can have the limited test cases and for all the test cases out put will be the same .

Equivalence class partitioning is a Black Box Technique and this is mostly used for non range values.

Boundary Value analysis is used for range values
