I assume that you are asking this question from QA Testers point of view.

As a QA Tester, you have to involve in following areas to help complete UAT.

1. Provide QA Team's Test Strategy to UAT team so that they know what QA is testing and it can be an input to their test strategy also.

2. UAT Test Plan/Strategy Review - You  can definitely review the UAT test plan and provide your feedback if you think something is missing that can be done by UAT

3. Environment Readiness - Help UAT to setup the test environment. Most of the times UAT environment will be different from QA test environment. Since UAT starts much later than QA testing, you can use your expertise and experience to help UAT setup their environment ready for testing. This will save lot of their time and help them focus on UAT tasks rather than test environment issues

4. Test Data - Testers can help UAT in setting up test data in UAT box. For functional testing UAT requires data setup to be done before actual testing. For example if UAT want to test a particular flow in a web page, they need users/logins created with proper permissions so that they can only concentrate on testing the actual functionality rather than spending time on user creation.

5. UAT Test Coordination - QA can play a major role in test execution also. If the UAT team is large and if they are looking for technical help, QA can definitely help UAT since they would have already completed major part of their QA testing and also followup on defects can be done.

These are the few areas where QA can participate/involve in UAT. The actual involvement and the extent to which they need to be involved is on a pure case to case basis depending on the schedule/cost/resource availability and various such factors

Hope this helps..
