Maitain a better relationship with the developers.Before raising the Bug make sure that the bug is a real & valied one.Dont blame the developer for mistakes.

The bugs will obviously come whenever new project is developed or old is updated. Testers are there to find them, so don't blame to developer that they are not allowed to make mistakes. Try to make good relationship with developers and try to help them to repro bugs whenever possible. when you find bug don't make it to developer loudly. and try to show them you are always here to help them solving that bug.
