DMC- direct mud circulation

Bentonite is pumped in to the bore at the time of drilling so as to stabilise the sides of the bore hole. Water is also pumped in.As the drilling proceeds, betonite is washed out at the top. Concreting is done when the density of the betonite+water mix is less than the density of concrete so that concrete settles down. The density of the betonite mix can be found out by taking a sample of the washed out betonite mix.
