The difference between the sales generated by a business and the costs paid out for goods or services  Gross Profit divided by Revenue, expressed as a percentage

Gross Profit Margin = Gross Profit/Sales or Revenue

Gross Profit = Sales or Revenue - Cost of Goods Sold
