DataStage Transformer stage Server Jobs and Parallel Jobs
What is the difference between transformer stage in serverjobs and transformer stage in parallel job?

Transformer stage in server jobs vs Transformer stage in Parallel jobs

  1. In server jobs support single input stream link and multiple input reference link where in parallel support only single input stream link and no reference link.
  2. In server jobs lookup has to be done in transformer stage whereas in parallel it has seperate lookup stage for this.
  3. In parallel it has the capability to perform the surrogate key generation as an in-build functionality whereas no such functionality available in server job transformation stage.

We have the Datastage server7.5 installed on Unix machine. We need to have a DSN to connect to the database which is on some other unix machine.please let me know it is enough if we create a DSN at the client machine or do we have to change the config file in UNIX?It is very urgent for us and we are not able to solve?pls help me in this regard.Madhavi
