Query Studio
Why we are prefer to query studio for simple reports and any extra feature is there in query studio other than report studio?

RE: Query Studio
1)Query Studio is used create adhoc or simple reports where as Report Studio is used to create business & professional reports.

2) You can open a Query Studio report in Report Studio,but  u cann't open a Report Studio  report  in Query Studio.

3)Report  Studio  has some  special functionalities like Bursting,Prompts & Advanced Charting whereas Query Studio doesn't have these options.

In cognos 8 we can open report studio report in query studio and conditonal formating also there in query studio
