Open Source software can be distributed freely for anyone.You can copy it and use distribute it to anyone . The source code is available to you so that You can enhance it to according to your needs.

ex Linux OS,Apache server,Firefox browser

Right now JAVA is not Open Source.

Â by the way java is not open sourceÂ Â
