The company have already paid 700 Rs per month for 5yr. That means total Rs paid is=700*(12 months)*(5 yr)=42,000Rs.
Now,
if company purchased it , its only have to pay 100 Rs per month for 1 yr.
That means= 100*(12 months)=1200Rs.
They give condition as, if it pays this he company will save 2000 Rs.
42,000(already paid for 5 yr) + 1200(company have to pay for 1 yr)= 2000(company saves)
42,000+1200-2000=0
42,000-8000=34,000Rs

700 rupees a month for 5 years=>700*5*12=42000Rs
for maintenance 100 rupees for 5 year=6000(for 1year=>12 months, so for 5years=>60months)
=42000-6000-2000
=34000
