Why are there gaps in numbering of various documents which are auto generated by the system??Document types like KZ. etc

The system picks up the document number from the number range varaint which has been assigned to that particular document type. For example, for doc type SA, the number range variant is 01 for which the number range is 1000-1999. same way the doc type KZ the number range variant is 02 with number range 7000-7999. So when the document is generated it checks which document type and from there it picks up the number.
