RE: ifa+b+c=c+d+e=e+f+g=g+h+i=13all are un...

This problem is similar to solving sudoku...

The problem is like this...
 __+ __ + _C_ =  _C_+ __ + _E_ =  _E_+ __ + _G_ =  _G_+ __ + __ = 13.

G + __ + __ = 13 starting from G=1 it can be assumed as 1+3+9, 1+4+8 and 1+5+7

i've put the first possibility and now we get

__+ __ + _C_ =  _C_+ __ + _E_ =  _E_+ __ + 1 =  1+ 3 + 9 = 13.

then i've input the next possibility 1,8,4 for E+F+G

now we have

 __+ __ + _C_ =  _C_+ __ +  4 =  4 + 8 + 1 =  1 + 3 + 9= 13.

the numbers we have currently used now are 1,3,4,8 and 9
 the remaining numbers are 2,5,6,7
and the possibilities for getting 13 are only two
they are 2+7+4 and 5+6+2
Therefore the result is

5 + 6 + 2 =  2 + 7 +  4 =  4 + 8 + 1 =  1 + 3 + 9= 13.

So the value of e is 4.

Thank you...
varun....
