NEED HELP

Installed First Server then Client

1) I can not get into DataStage Administrator after trying a lot. I give the Host Name or Name of my computer, and I did not give the User Name & Password then I get the error like this

Failed to connect to host: ishaq, project: UV

(The host name specified is not valid, or the host is not responding (81011))

2)When I give the Host Name User Name & Password then I get the error like this

Failed to connect to host: ishaq, project: UV

(The host name specified is not valid, or the host is not responding (81011))

To solve this problems, I Installed the DataStage 7.5.1, atleast seven times, after this all still I did not get enter into the DataStage Administrator then I format the System, and Re Installed every thing once again from the beginning, then again Installed the DataStage, still I have the same problem, I can not get enter into the DataStage Administrator till now.

I am sure, I have Windows XP SP2 Installed on P4 System

Hi,

All you have to do is go settings-control panel-User accounts- Create new user with a password.  Restart your comp and login with the new user name.   Try using the new user name into datastage and I am sure that you should be able to do it.

Hi

Configuration of u'r system is fine. I don't think therez problem in the installation too.there r few possibilities for this to happen.

1 . Make sure the login n password wat u give r same as the one u give when 

    you logon to the system.

2. Get into the control panel n check whether all the services r up n running.

3. If all these are fine then try connecting an network cable n then try  

   working. Some of these should work.

do the steps in order:

1) create user account and password in user accounts
2)install data stage sever
3)install client

it works..

imp: ur installation drive should be in NTFS not FAT32.

You have to install Windows 2003 Server enterprise edition with SP2 or more and .Net framework for Datastage PX or Unix OS. If you have installed on Win XP it wont work properly.
For Datastage TX you can install on Windows XP
