RE: A work in 12 days b in 15 days. Find the no ...

answer will be 7 1/4 it is as

A+b in one day can work as 1/12+1/15 9/60

so in 6 days they work 6* 9/60 54/60

7th day has to be done by A then 54/60 + 1/12 59/60

Remaining is 1-59/60 1/60

on 8th day B has to do 1/60th of work but he does 1/15 in one day so in order to complete 1/60 he takes 1/4th of a day

so answer will be 7 + 1/4 7 1/4 days

ans 13 1/3 daysone day A work is x/12 one day B work is x/15 so we need alternate days x/12+x/15+........... x(15x+12x)/(15*12) 3x/20so for getting x we need to multiply 20/3that mean each A will work 20/3 day and B also work for 20/3 dayso 20/3+20/3 13 1/3 days

RE: A work in 12 days b in 15 days. Find the no ...
if we consider 2days of work work done by A in one day (100/12) work done by B in one day (100/15) Work done by A and B in 2 days (100/12)+(100/15) 15 Obviously work done by A and B in 12 days 15 * 6 90 of work left 10 case (1) if A initiates work then A has to work on 13th day then work left 10 - (100/12) 1.66 On 14 th day B will work for 1.66*15/100 0.249Hence total no. of days 12+1+0.249 13.25 13 1/4 dayscase(2)if B initiates work then B has to work on 13th day then work left 10 - (100/15) 3.33 On 14 th day A will work for 3.33*12/100 0.399Hence total no. of days 12+1+0.399 13.4 13 2/5 days

RE: A work in 12 days b in 15 days. Find the no ...
i donot really get the solution but i agree with venkatswami and arun because same work is done fastly by A than B.if A only works daily it will be 12 days as given but B who works slowly than A sahres the complete work in alternate days. so the answer will be definetly greater than 12 days.
