I'm a newbie.  Correct me if I'm wrong.

 

In 7+ versions

- we can lookup a flat file

- union and custom transformation

- there is propogate option i.e, if we change any datatype of a field, all the linked columns will reflect that change

- we can write to XML target.

- we can use upto 64 partitions
