Which columns go to the fact table and which columns go the dimension table

To add on, Foreign key elements along with Business Measures, such as Sales in $ amt, Date may be a business measure in some case, units (qty sold) may be a business measure, are stored in the fact table. It also depends on the granularity at which the data is stored
