I feel that the answer was 18. Because there are (9+18)men with shoes

no da...its 27 only....only shoes are 9 and 18 have only shoes and also shoes and hats...so so 18-9 have both shoes and hats....now if the no of people are 45 then people who have only shoes are 45 - (9 +9) 27....these kind of problems r done by using venn diagrams

exactly but in a different way.. total are 45 then 18 have shoes (9 only shoes + 9 shoes and hats) finally the number people who have only hats are exactly (45-18) 27

Ans is 18...

9 members have shoes but no hats. total 18 members have shoes.

so 9 members have both....

now 45-18 27 have hats but in that 9 has both.

so 27-9 18 has only hats and no shoes...

Ans is 27...

total is 45.

9 members have shoes but no hats.

18 members have shoes so 18-9 has both shoes and hats.

18 have either shoes or both.

so 45-18 27 has only hats.

There are 45 members in total in which 18 have both hat and shoes and 9 have only shoes soout of total 18 members have shoes

Finally 45-18 27 having only shoes but no hats

Simply 45 (total members) - 18 (members who have shoes) 27

i think it is 27 given shoe only 9all shoe 18therefore shoe and hat 18-9 9so total remaining 45-9 36of the 36 9 have shoe also therefore 36-9 27------------------Ans 27
