The collection of objects is called object repository.

for example.text box, calender, button etc.

Object Repository means not a collection of objects.

It's a common repository for all the people (Testing, Developers) for seeing all the data in single Login.

For example QA wants to see 5 testers works then he goes to each person login and see the data.It's very difficult job. For this We can use Object Repository.

The GUI map provides a centralized object repository, allowing testers to verify and modify any tested object. These changes are then automatically propagated to all appropriate scripts, eliminating the need to build new scripts each time the application is modified.

We use the term "Object Repository"  in QTP.

It is the same as GUI Map Editor in WR.

During QTP recording, it learns all the objects that we are operating, and saves the objects in Object Repository much the same in WR.
