Difference between QA and QC:-
QA is preventive process.
QC is corrective process.

Quality Assurance is Process oriented.
Quality Control is Product oriented.

Quality Assurance makes sure you are doing the right things, the right way.
Quality Control makes sure the results of what you've got are what you expected.

QA focuses on building in quality....and hence preventing defects.
QC focuses on testing for quality...and hence detecting defects

Quality Assurance is a focus on processes like defining, deploying, continuous improving with the goal of defect prevention.
Quality Control is a focus on products defect/bug detection with the goal of defect detection

Quality Assurance: A planned and systematic set of activities
necessary to provide enough confidence that requirements are properly
established and products or services conform to specified requirements.

Testing: The process of executing a system with the intent of finding
defects. (Note that the "process of executing a system" includes test planning
prior to the execution of the test cases.)

Quality Control: A set of activities designed to evaluate a developed
work product.

QA is the entire software development process-monitoring and improving the process, to make sure that any agreed upon standards and procedures are followed, ensuring the problems are found and deal with, it is oriented to "prevention".
Testing involves the operation of a system or an application under controlled conditions and evaluating the results. The controlled conditions should be normal and abnormal. Testing should intentionally attempt to make things go wrong to determine the things happen when they shouldn't and the things won't happen when they should.
