ans:- 1.5 ftconsider one year grow of a tree = x,other tree grow =3/5(x),for 4 years......................... 4x+3/5(4x)=8 solving we get x=54 so ans=2(54)(35)=1.5

Let one grows x ft
Other grows (3/5)x
Total growth=(1+3/5)*x=(8/5)x
(8/5)x=8ft
x=5ft
one grows 5ft }
other grows 3 ft}in 4 yr
other grow 1.5ft in 2 yr

Answer is 1.5 ft

Let us assume one tree grows xft in 4 yrs, 2nd tree grows 3/5(x)ft...
Total x+3/5(x)=8
x=5 ft..
hence 1st tree 5ft 2nd tree 3 ft for 4 yrs
2nd tree for 2 yrs is 3/2=1.5 ft
