100 glasses are there. A servant has to supply glasses to a person. If he supplies the glasses without any damage he will get 3 paise. Otherwise, he will loose 3 paise at the end of supplying 100 glasses.  If he gets 270 paise, how many glasses were supplied safely?

let the safeglasses be x & brokenglasses be y.

so x+y 100............1

and according to given data if he supply safely he will get 3paise/glass.otherwise he will lose 3paise/glass. now eqn is like this

3x-3y 270...................2

from 1 &2 eqns we will get x 95(safeglasses)
