answer is 35mins

let the usual time be t. 7/5of usual speed=5/7 of usual time

so 5/7t=t-10(as he reaches 10 mins earlier)

solving the equ gives t=35mins

Speed = distance/ time so .... s-> 1/t , 7/5 -> (5/7)t           
5/7t=t-10
t(7-5)/5=10
t=25
25+10=35mins

5d/7x=(y-10)*60.....eq2
