DB2 plan is executable form of sql staements(DBRM).

you can define DB2 plan as set of pointers to packages. And package contains machine code of best access paths.

The optimized access path is called plan.... plan contains multiple packages / access path's. plan is a optimized access

path to extract the data from the tables.
