Well you can say that "though i am from mechanical Dept. I am well equipped logically to suit the software industry".

Most of the hiring manager will ask about current company and previous company details and ask about your roles and responsibilites.They will ask about why your are looking for change,and ask for why are you interested in this company.and personal details and family backgroud.

I tend to try to do too many things, leaving little time for myself. I have worked on balancing myself for the last several months. I am also working on improving my public speaking skills

Be on the positive side always..mention the things you wanted to improve and also mention the steps that you have taken to overcome the weakness you have. Don't mention anything without mentioning the steps to improve. Don't reveals any strong weakness let them dig your weakness by their own.
