Boiler efficency can be increased by incresing the boiler pressure or by  the reheating the steam or by the process of regeneration. Another method is that by increasing the mean temperature of heat addition so that boiler efficiency can be inceased.

The main problem which derease the efficiency of boiler are caused by hard water. So the best method to increase the efficiency is to use hardness free water and for that water should be treated properly.

Due to maintain the convection in refrigerator. When air is cool in refrigerator it moves downward and hot air moves upward because cold air is denser than hot air this phenomena is called as convection, so movement of air take place regularly.

In every refrigerator have the cooling place at the top order because the coolants have the high temperature as compared to outer means earth then it could have there is possible to happen become low temperature also not comfortable to user.

The maximum efficiency of the carnot engine only depends on two factors:

1 - The temperature of the hot reservoir (TH)
2 - The temperature of the cold reservoir (TC)

And is given by (TH - TC) / TH « or » 1 - TC / TH So by that we can see the maximum efficiency (100%) would be when the difference of temperatures between the two reservoirs is infinite.

In carnot engine, working fluid is ideal gas. The only possiblity that the efficiency of carnot engine to be 100% is when the temperature of reservoir comes to absolute zero.

There is not any even a single cycle having efficiency higher than the carnot cycle efficiency it means carnot engine having 100% efficiency.

  • Thermal Efficiency

Why the thermal efficiency of the engine decreases at part load?

There are always some mechanical losses in the engine while running. These losses are more or less same at all the speeds. When the speed decreases, the output will obviously decreases. But, the losses remain same. So, the overall efficiency also decrease.
