Why we used compulsory executable in report registration ?

The purpose of executable is to links the execution file with concurrent program and the method used to execute it. Actually the name and application (Application name determine in which directory structure to look for the execution file) of the source file < .rdf > used to mention in the executable of the report registration. That is why executable is compulsory in report registration.
