Claim testing or variability testing : This testing is done to test someones claim about a software. While developing a product if someone (in same or other team) claims that the application can not do some task specified in specification sheet. Then claim testing is done to test that claims. Similarly if a promoter make some false statement to customer while promoting the product, when they will comeback, they will ask the engineering department to bring that variance in application.
