High availability is a PowerCenter option that eliminates a single point of failure in a domain and provides minimal service interruption in the event of failure.

This is basically acheived at configuration the server nodes at Grid level.
there are basically three components of high availability

Resilence : I am not sure where exactly this feature come in picture

Failover( when any task is running on any node and node becomes unavailable this feature on Power center will have the ability to migrate the same task to another available node).

Recovery: The automatica recovery of repository service tasks  integration service can be done. Its a  known fact that manually also we can recover integration services.
