The process which involves chemical rxn is called unit process(eg-all chemical rxns). The process which involves only physical change is called unit operations(eg- screerning).

The process which involves chemical reaction is called unit process like chemical reactions, chemisorption, nitration, where as the process which involves only physical change is called as unit operation like distillation, physical adsorption etc.

Unit operation is a physical changes only but unit process is a chemical changes.

In process where only chemical changes occurs that is called Unit Process and where no chemical changes occurs only physical changes occurs that is called Unit Operation.

Unit Process example like different type of reaction Reduction, Hydrogenation, Dehydrogenation and other all.

Unit Operation example like Distillation, Separation, Drying, Milling etc.
