What are the steps or methods we use when analyzing or troubleshooting an issue/problem?

First I try to reproduce the issue and document the steps.

and take some screenshots and discuss the problem with my lead.

Reproduce the defect, record the steps, analyse the environment, functional dependancy if any exists. Gather the Exception stack with which I dont have to reproduce the defect. it provides more than sufficient information to Dev team. Also You can customize your exception stack the way you want. If you can do that it will provide you all the information required.
