There are two questions,
1.Measurement and Analysis activities in product development
Ans: We can analyse only after measuring the activities and taking proper metrics so both measurement and analysis are interconnected.
So this Measurement and Analysis can be viewed in two directions
a. From overall product development perspective (Developers perspective)
- This can be measured in many ways, some of them will be KLOC (kilo lines of code), Completion of functional points, no of bugs
raised per module, no. of regression bugs etc. As a tester I am not very sure of more techniques.
b. Testing perspective
- Test case efficiency ratios, Defect Unearthening ratio, test effort variance, High priority/severity bugs etc can be the techniques in this category.

With bugzilla, we can produce various kinds of reports, viz

Daily report
Weekly report
Build wise report
Defect report across builds showing
-Priority
-severity
-status (closed/open etc)
