Ans:700

let the market prise be M.
10% discount of M=M/10
selling prise excluding tax=M-discount=>M-M/10=9M/10
8% tax on discounted prise=9M/10*8/100
=>actual selling prise including tax= 9M/10 + 72M/1000
which is equal to Rs.680.40
=>9M/10 + 72M/1000 = 680.40
=>M=700
