Define maping and sessions?

Maping: It is a set of source and target definitions linked by transformation objects that define the rules for transformation.
Session : It is a set of instructions that describe how and when to move data from source to targets.

Mapping:

A set of source and target definitions linked by diffrent transformation  that define the rules for data transformation.

Session:

A session identifies the mapping created with in the mapping designer. 

and

 Identification of the mapping by the informatica server is done with the help of session.
