RE: What is induction motor?
Induction motor is one of the AC motor operated by an induction principle. That principle says whenever a conductor moves in a magnetic field ,an e m f is induced in that conductor.Induction moter basically known as rotating transformer because of it's working by an induction principle. There are two types of induction motor are there, squrriel cage and slip ring induction motor.

RE: What is induction motor?
Inductor Motor based on the principle of induction, in this when we apply single phase AC current field is set up as motor winding are closed current is induced in them which once moved through any method (capacitor start) cut the magnetic field and force is exerted on the motor
