What is Configuration Testing in web testing?

This test involves the operating systems platforms used, the type of network connection,
the type of internet service provider, and the browser used. The development team must
have these in mind so that there will be very little changes to be made if any. Also, the
test environment must be properly configured for all these considerations.

It's similar to compatibility testing, it's a process of testing the application against diff environments, diff hard wares and diff softwares.

It can be done?whether the?application to fail to meet its configurability requirements so that the?hidden defects can be identified, analyzed, fixed, and prevented in the future.
